Help please with new dog in a house of cats !?

Personally i'd let them get on with it - under your supervision of course. A few swipes from the cats will teach the dog to leave them alone. And trust me the dog will learn quick enough. Once it's out of the dogs (and cats) system you should, once again, have a happy calm household.
