How you rate "Chak de India" versus true story?

Chak de India as we all know is based on a true story of Mr Negi who was thrown out of Indian team when it lost to Pakistan where he conceeded some 6 goals. He came back and coached Indian women team which later won commonwealth championship (and not world Cup). Director of movie has made too many liberties he changed the character from Hindu to Muslim. Role of Coach has been over rated or overplayed than captain. As a Indian do you really get a lump in throat while watching the movie.
