Is it inappropriate for me to photograph a funeral?

Condolences on your loss. But my first question is why whould you want to photograph the funeral? Wouldn't it be better to remember her as she was? Was she the type of person who liked the limelight - would she have been comfortable with it in life? Being a high profile case, I'm sure she is getting quite a bit of attention as it is. For what it is worth, my answer would be not to do it.
