Sounds like your date could have been shy. I'm sorry that you had to carry the conversation. I've had to do that also and it makes for a boring date.As for connecting with that person, it's up to you but I would move on. When people look away and not at you it usually means they're not interested. And it's not necessarily you at all. So don't feel horrible; it wasn't your fault but a bad date. It happens. Move on to someone better.
