Is It Stupid That I Can't Do This?

For my english essay i have to write an 'imaginative piece of writing' and i've decided to focus on romance. I have a really good idea, but i've found when i write i'm just not pionate about it. I don't think my teacher would be impressed if i used two females in the writing and i'm afraid i'll loose marks. I just can't seem to write as well when i use a male and female and i know that sounds silly, but i'm just not as emotional about it. Any tips?x =)
